I got great news so keep reading :P
Well, a few weeks ago, I heard about a Counter-Strike/Half-Life mod based on James Bond (specifically, the Goldeneye N64 game) called Goldeneye Source. It's currently in it's third beta version and I decided to finally download and play the game for about 10 minutes.
So, how did I like the game so far?
It's actually a pretty good game with nice graphics but the gameplay is a bit weird and there are a few glitches.
How does the game work?
Basically, there are a lot of the characters from Goldeneye 64 and a lot of the weapons are also in the game. But, it's hardcore, because if you get shot (even once) with any weapon, you will die. Also, when you die, your body usually ends up getting thrown around the map and sometimes even outside of the map area.
Final verdict:
It's a pretty good game and I'm sure the problems will get fixed when the full version gets released. So, If you're into CS/HL and James Bond, check it out at the following URL

In other news, I've been recently listening to the Giant Bomb Podcast and I recently listened to their latest episode. They always have interesting things to talk about and during the 2/24/09 episode, they were talking about a game called Quake Live which is basically a full, free version of Quake from the original developers and a few other people.
How is the game so far?
I played it or a bit and it's actually pretty good and I can see it improving. There is not much to say about it, because it's basically Quake for free on your computer, haha. If you like the Quake series and don't want to buy the game, then check it out at the following URL

Furthermore, there is going to be a special edition post tomorrow (March 2nd) as early as 12 AM, so please be sure to visit the blog.
All I can say right now is that it's related to music from a new artist who's a friend of mine. Thanks for reading today's post.
